Dodano 03 sierpnia 2010 The town is the most important economic centre in the Leszno region. In December 2007, in Leszno there were 8583 economic entities including 123 companies with foreign capital.

Most businesses function in the services sector (48%) as well as commerce and services (31%). Production industry encompasses 9% of Leszno enterprises. The dominating branches are clothing, furniture, metal, machine and food industry. 94% of the registered companies in the town are micro companies employing up to 9 people. Most employees in companies employing more than 9 people are in the services sector (42%) and industry (37%).
